Booking Conditions & Cancellation Policy

Terms & Conditions

Arrival: We like to meet our guests on arrival at the house so we request that guests confirm their expected arrival time in advance of arrival date.

Booking Deposit: A booking deposit representing 30% of the full rental cost is required to secure a reservation.

Changeover Day: Saturday is the normal changeover day for weekly bookings during Spring, Summer & Autumn periods. For the rest of the year we operate a flexible changeover day - please email us to discuss your particular preferences and requirements.

Check-in /Check-out times: Check-in is 5.00 p.m. on arrival day. If it is likely that you will be arriving at a later time please let us know so we can make alternative arrangements in advance. Please be aware that Check-out is no later than 10.00 a.m. on departure day. We request that guests leave the house and its furnishings in a clean and tidy condition and advise us of any breakages and/or malfunctions.

Final Payment: The balance of the rental cost, along with the refundable Security/Damage Deposit of 400 Euros, is payable no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival date.

Method of Payment: Payment (in Euro only) by Electronic Bank Transfer and by PayPal.

Minimum Stay: Our rental rates are based on stated minimum stays. However, shorter minimum stays may also be considered - please email us to discuss your particular preferences and requirements.

No Pets: Pets of any kind are not permitted anywhere in or near the house.

No Smoking: We operate a very strict no smoking policy. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. We request that all guests respect this condition at all times.

Occupancy: The Climbers Inn Glencar comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. Persons other than those in the guest party may not stay overnight - except in special circumstances and with prior owner approval.

Security/Damage Deposit 400 : The refundable Security/Damage Deposit is returned within 7 days of your departure, less electricity cost, any charges in the unfortunate event of any major breakages or damages, any other expenses e.g. use of gas bbq.

Services: The cost for electricity usage is not included in the rental rate and is charged for separately. All heating, hot water, lighting and cooking are included in the electricity charge. The heating and hot water are powered by a highly efficient geo-thermal system.

Note: - Payment of the booking deposit/full rental cost constitutes acceptance of the booking terms & conditions.

Breach of any of these conditions may result in part or all of the security deposit being forfeited.

Cancellation Policy

In the unfortunate event that you may need to cancel your booking for whatever reason, we request that you let us know as early as possible please. We would like to reassure guests that individual circumstances will always be taken into account at the discretion of Caragh Glen B&B. If practical, we will give you the option to move your booking to a future date, subject to availability. If this is not feasible, we will do our best to re-let the cancelled booking and, if successful, we will refund your rental cost in full, less an administrative fee of 75 Euros. However, if neither of the above scenarios prevail, we reserve the right to apply the following cancellation charges.

If you cancel:
More than 43 days prior to arrival: The booking deposit is forfeited.
42 - 28 days prior to arrival:50% of the full rental cost is forfeited.
27 - 0 days prior to arrival: 100% of the full rental cost is forfeited.

Travel Insurance

Guests are reminded that we cannot be held responsible for natural disasters, accidents and other circumstances which are unpredictable and may result in you having to cancel your booking. As with any foreign travel, we strongly recommend that you purchase appropriate and adequate travel insurance for cover in the event of such circumstances.
